South African Copyright

Not many people are currently aware of a call by the Department of Trade and Industry  for participation to bring the South African Copyright laws and Intellectual Property rights  into line with international standards.

I recently met a professional photographer , Deryck van Steenderen an evangelist for the financial viability and sustainability of photography as a career in South Africa, and by default a leading campaigner for changes to the current South African Copyright laws to provide protection for ALL .

He has a Facebook page , Creative Collaborative Collection if you care to share this from the page or click on the image and make a change.

Take time to read this petition and please sign and share between all your contacts and fellow photographers.

The Mission Statement

Please help us to make a difference. The government called for public participation in their review of their policy on intellectual property of which COPYRIGHT is a part. The current copyright law has discriminated against photographers for decades and is contrary to what is internationally accepted. We need to change that.

Please SIGN and SHARE the petition for copyright reform in South Africa and help us to make the world a better place, one image at a time.
